Memory:

Memory refers to what the laptop uses to store data temporarily, the laptop memory is measured in RAM, which could be 64GB, 32GB, 16GB, 8 or 4 GB, the RAM of your laptop should be at least 8GB, 16GB if you can afford it, and 32GB if you have so many things to do, to know how many GB is ok for your laptop, you should consider these purposes

Email, web browsing, Microsoft office, downloading of music and videos, and corporate software such as CRM and accounting, a 4 – 8GB is ok for a frequent user, an 8-32GB is ok for a gamer and a 16- 64GB is ok for a professional usage.

The graphics processing unit

The graphics processing unit (GPU) is a computer component to enables devices to display images and perform calculations at a fast speed, it processes data from the CPU into pictures, and is used in gaming or machine language.

Processor

A laptop processor which is also called a CPU is the brain of the laptop.

The processors are of different types, we have are intel, Apple, AMD, and Qualcomm

For intel, we have corei9, corei7, corei5, and corei3 with core i9 being the fastest and corei3 being the slowest, the speed should also be considered and the purpose the laptop will serve will be considered:

Normal laptops: normal laptops are not used for gaming or heavy tasks so a processor speed of 2.1 to 2.7 is recommended and a processor of corei3, corei5, or AMD Ryzen 5 is recommended.

Office laptops: office laptops are mainly used for browsing and heavy tasks, they are mostly used for multitasking

Ao a processing speed of 2.10 – 4.10GHz is required to prevent hanging and a processor of corei7, corei5, AMD Ryzen 7, and Apple M1 are highly recommended.

High-performance laptops: high-performance laptops are used for scientific and engineering purposes

A processor speed of 3.50 – 4.2GHz is recommended and a processor of corei9, AMD Ryzen 9, and apple M2 are required.

Storage

The storage is that part of the laptop that stores things permanently until they are uninstalled by the user.

the storage of your computer is very important because it determines the speed of your laptop.

Its better you get a laptop with a solid-state drive (SSD) than one with a hard drive.

Size; sizes vary when it has to do with laptops, with size, you have to consider how portable you want your laptop to be, these sizes include:

11-12 inches: these are the thinnest and lightest laptop, and they weigh about 2 to 3 pounds.

13-14 inches: they usually weigh about 3.5 pounds.

15 – 16 inches: this is the most popular size and they weigh about 3.5 to 5.5 pounds

17- 18 inches: if you have a workstation where you want to position a large-screen laptop, this is the recommended size

Locate the icon “my computer.”
Right-click and select properties, and a box showing the laptop specifications will pop up.

Click on the window start button.
Tap on settings.
Click on system.
Click on about, a box showing the laptop specifications will pop up
