So bring a portable phone charger with you so you can charge your phone on the fly. You don’t want your phone to die while you’re lost in the city, and you don’t want to miss out on great photo possibilities.

  • Layers of Clothing.

This is one the most difficult part is deciding what to wear and pack. For your journey, remember to pack a mix of light and warm clothing (depending on where you’re going). It’s usually a good idea to check the weather forecast before leaving and pack accordingly.

Consider what kinds of activities you’ll be doing during your trip so you can pack appropriately. Whether you’ll be hiking, snorkeling, partying, skiing, pack clothes relating to those activities. If you’re going on a long journey, make sure the hostel offers a washing room to wash your clothing and reuse them.

  • A Water Bottle.

Water is essential for every trip. Most travel backpacks include a water bottle section that is convenient to access while walking. Not only are they reusable, but they’re also environmentally friendly.

  • A Camera.

There’s no essence going sightseeing if you don’t have a camera with you to capture every single moment. You should consider taking one along.

  • Headphones.

A headphone is necessary to aid your trip. You wouldn’t have to be exposed to noises all the time, so I recommend this.
